Also the new miniature handbook art gallery has a picture labeled Summoner. Perhaps a new prestige class?
Looking for a different kind of Summoner.

I forgot to mention about the Summon X line in Relics and Rituals II
It's basically like Summoned Monster, except for each monster there is one specific spell. You can't summon creatures stronger than CR 2 x the level of the Summoned spell, and you need a bit of the creature to summon it I think. The specifics are in the book, which I highly reccommend.
Relics and Rituals I also has a Summoner PrC which is cool.
Both are just a tad bit overpowered, but are easy to correct.
