Looking for a feat or spell that...

...will grant an automatic threat? I am specifically looking for something that is an automatic THREAT, not an automatic crit. For example:

Character uses "feat/spell I am asking about". He then makes his attack roll with a longsword and rolls a 14 on the d20. He hits his opponent. Normally a 14 is not a threat with a longsword, but since they used this feat/spell, it IS considered a threat. Now the character rolls the confirmation roll and rolls a 16. The threat is confirmed and the critical damage is applied as normal.

Any spells/feats that do something like that?

Note: And no, I am not looking for Hunter's Mercy

Such a feat (or even spell) would not be balanced. It would be WAY vastly more powerful than Improved Critical (which merely doubles the threat range).

Plus, if you combined it with Bless Weapon (the spell or the weapon special ability), it would make successful attacks against an evil opponent automatically critical hits.

Well I was thinking more along the lines that it would have limits, like you can only use it once per day (for a feat anyway). The other "balancing" factor being, you actually have to HIT with the weapon. I thought there was such a feat/spell out there.

I know Power Critical in Sword and Fist was similiar to what I was looking for. But that got changed and updated in CW.

I think it got changed for a reason, even once a day was too much.

Because you can't power attack, leap attack and wield two handed etc with a bow.
It might be one use only, but wielding a great axe or pick, that could be one dead archvillain for very little work...

Precisely.

The PC Paladin in our group will eventually have Holy Weapon, Axiomatic Weapon, and Blessed Weapon on her ancestoral relic. If she had a way to automatically threaten (which would become automatic critical against a BBEG), she could smite, power attack, do a lot of damage with a single attack, and be reasonably confident of hitting (because of her high CHA bonus to hit with smite).

With the right combination of PrCs, you could... Well, you could at least "Power Attack" with a bow (I think the Perless Archer could do just that).
