Here's a link to my fan-created solo adventure for a paladin PC using the 3.5e rules, Roll of Honor. It's a bit disjointed since it's a series of messageboard posts, but the first four adventures, covering levels 1 to 4, are complete.

I don't know if it's good, but at least it's free. :p

In my one PC campaign, I've basically been running modules for PCs about four levels below the PC's level and that works nicely. Early on, I'd pair her with some companions: a BFF, a brother, a love interest, a pet. And she'd mix and match for various adventures. Sometimes she'd go it alone, sometimes with them all, sometimes with one or two. I'd adjust things sometimes; other times, I'd leave it the same and she'd either get more help or it would be a pleasing cake walk.

My early modules were:
Goodman Games' DCC0: Legends are Made, not Born
Secret of Saltmarsh (adapted from earlier editions)
A WotC free adventure with a lighthouse/smuggler theme
Hollow's Last Hope (Paizo free module)
