Looking for a Topic

...and no, I can't search, so I'm throwing the dice and seeing if someone out there can bounce a link back at me.

There was a thread I visited late last week, and I can't remember if it was through a link on another thread or what, but it talked in detail about how (N)PCs and levels were derived from populations in older editions, how those figures broke down into class types, and also talked about giving out Leadership at what older editions considered "name level". It was a really interesting topic and, after telling some friends about it, I can't find it anymore.

Any help would be rewarded with eternal gratitude.

You realize that even if you cannot use the site search a google search with "site:enworld.org" might well do the trick for you, no?
