Looking for advice on Thrid party modules.

We should be thanking you.

Hell, all I have to do is figure out how to convert the adventure to suit 6th or 7th level characters and I'm springing it on another group in the near future :D

PC gave me some help and pointers for scaling it for a party of 6th level (which I ran it for) - I'd be happy to pass details on to you if you want to email me.

Cheers

Tthe Freeport Trilogy is very good. I'm not sure if they are all still in print (Death in Freeport, Terror in Freeport, and Madness in Freeport.

Death in Freeport is technically out of print, but we have a couple of dozen copies left here at GR HQ and you can order them from our website. Terror and Madness are in print and available. One of these days we're going to release the whole trilogy in one volume, but that's still a way's off. And FYI, we do have more Freeport adventures planned for 2003.

More tasty Freeport goodness in 2003? Alright!

Bob5th, I'd also recommend the Freeport set as a nice way to start a campaign. Purchase the Freeport city book too, and you'll have plenty of ideas for further stories, not to mention a beautiful map as well.

The Spear of the Lohgin Adventure, The Blood Reign of Nishanpur Adventure, and The Bloody Sands of Sicaris trilogy from Paradigm Concepts is pretty good, the average EN World rating for the three adventures is 4.55.

Its a low magic, gritty game, but you'll have to take the references to Paradigm's own game world -- the ideas you can steal from the game are worth it though. Underground lakes of blood, ewwww!

The adventures also have "soft" and "hard" points. Soft points are cool encounters you can take or leave, while hard points are the encounters essential to the plot. If you are short on time, skip it if it says "soft point," and when you have more time on your hands, then indulge on some soft points. Most have been entertaining and could be used a encounters in other games.

In short, Paradigm offers enough to steal that they are worth buying on that premise alone.

How about two EN award nominated modules by MEG:

The Pit of Loch-Durnan
Interludes: a brief Expedition to Bluffside

Which both have not only sequals but tons of free on-line support in web enhancements.

Sequals are:
The Witch of Loch-Durnan (released in August)
Interludes: Sands of Pain (released this month)

On-Line Web enhanced support:
6 free products for The Pit-of Luch Durnan to include another entire dungeon based adventure in an ancient Gnome Temple.

3 or so free products on-line for Interludes: aBEtB to inlcude at least one (I think two) extra adventures.

So, for the cost of $23.00 you get about 8 or so sessions worth of adventure and about 200 pages of material (in-print and on-line). There is free shipping at MEG direct though we have not announced it.

If you add the sequals you add another 160 pages of material and another 5 sessions or so of play time.
