Slightly off topic...Then back on
Your Theruge, did you roleplay up to it, or did you just create it?
In the current game I'm in, I had thought about going the Theruge route, but there hasn't been anytimes where it seemed likely he would. Playing a straight Wizard currently, see the Heroes of Marchford Story Hour in my Sig for its background. We all started at 1st Level.
If played to, any problems making the concept work as an in-game progression?
I came up with one but it has yet to happen yet. That would be being raised from the dead. And then serving in that "god's name" by being a cleric for 3 levels then going with the Mystic Theruge. In Valus there are sometimes punishments or quirks for coming back from the dead, and I thought this would be a good way to into it. But alas young Magnus has continued to survive despite all odds against him.
Now back on topic....
On the Spells & Powers one.
I would recommend that Spell's (Divine and Arcane) and the Psionic to be their own seperate PDF's, then you could take it out of your big one for a lite verision for the non-caster's.
That could speed it up a little for all. And since any errata is generally aimed at Spell casting in general, wouldn't it make maintenance of it easier on your part?
On the Feats one.
Don't bother with calculating the number of feats off the classes or levels (unless the specific feat calls for it). In the above mentioned Valusian Campaign, everyone gets one bonus feat at creation (1st level) and if you use the Heritage Level option there is an additional one for a subrace of human. (i.e. my Mage Magnus is a Rhelmsmen and they receive Toughness as a bonus.) So at first level he had a total of 4 feats (1-Human;1-Toughness:Rhelmsmen;1-First Level;1-Valusian Bonus Feat) as a first level wizard. This will maintain the customability for any group, and at higher levels when Joe Blow blows his wish on a feat. Allow the entry like you do now of any customized ones too.
I'm full of ideas, just not the means to implement them. That and I make a good guinea pig too.
