Looking for Archer stuff

I've a 10th level archer and I'm looking for some other things to do other than deal damage (which he can do just fine). I heard that there were some ranged disarm and sunder feats in a Dragon mag some time back, could someone summarize those maybe? Are there any expansion books that have good archer options? I'm not looking for PrCs, just fancy arrows or rules for doing new things with arrows.

Given just the core books, could you still use the "Strike an Object" rules to try and sunder a weapon, or maybe the optional hit location rules to try and do something more interesting than massive damage?

Hm. Sounds like you're mostly looking for feats. I do remember the Dragon article you're talking about but can't remember much more.

You could try. But ranged weapons do half damage to objects, and piercing usually half again. Not practical.

That would be Dragon 274, the first 3E issue. Feats include Ranged Pin, Ranged Disarm, and a couple of others.

Ranged Disarm (General) (Dra 274): You can disarm an opponent with a ranged weapon.
Prerequisite: Point Blank Shot, Precise Shot, Dex 13+, Base Attack +5
Beneft: You can perform the disarm action with this weapon.
Special: A character may gain this feat multiple times. However, each time it is taken it only applies to a new-ranged weapon.

Ranged Pin (General) (Dra 274): You can perform a ranged Grapple Attack
Prerequisite: Point Blank Shot, Precise Shot, Dex 13+, Base Attack +5
Benefit: You can perform a ranged grapple attack against an opponent by pinning a piece of clothing upon a nearby surface. The surface must be within five feet of the opponent. To escape the victim must take a partial action to perform either a strength check or an escape artist check (DC 15).

Ranged Sunder (General) (Dra 274): You can attack other people’s weapons with a ranged attack.
Prerequisites: Point Blank Shot, Precise Shot, Ranged Pin, Dex 13+, Base Attack +5
Benefit: When attacking objects you do full damage instead of half damage.

Thanks for the information all. Those knockback arrows on Monte's site are particularily neat. I saw an archer in a different campaign use various "trick" arrows with alchemical stuff on them. Were those from a Dragon magazine as well?

I believe there was a dragon article that had arrows with alchemist's fire in the tips. Might have been the one on elves - it also had arrows with a thunderstone tip.

It wasn't a hard extension to put other alchemical substances in it or things like holy water.
