Looking for co-designers for d20 Open SRD

Funny story. So I am the owner of d20pfsrd.com and I generated that d20OpenSRD site by making a copy of d20pfsrd.com then changing the graphics and name etc. I think one of the collaborators on d20pfsrd.com saw the site, thought it was someone ripping me off, and reported it to Google. Google did a cursory examination and said yep, looks like a direct copy, we're shuttin 'er down. So they did. Luckily for me, I have a guy I know who is a Google Sites engineer. I contacted him this morning, he checked logs and could find no reason for the site to have been disabled, and he re-enabled it and whitelisted it so it won't happen again. I've changed the setting on the site to be private (not open to the world).

If anyone is remotely interested in helping me fork the Pathfinder branch of the 3.5 source code of the operating system formerly known as D&D, I have a complete dump of the source code. I just need other committed developers who will help me analyze certain areas and then apply some patches etc. I'd love to get a team of people together to turn this into a real entity but I know it 1) takes a lot of work and 2) not a lot of people seem interested in basically being a replacement for Paizo/Wizards of the Coast/whomever is the maintainer of the code for the os of the game system you currently play.

Do people sort of get what I'm talking about here? Maybe I'm not being as clear as I'd like to be lol

I understand where you're coming from. I personally would like to do something along the same lines, but include more than the OGL aspects by using the general open aspects of the copyright laws to grab some of the best closed content mechanics and do a smash up. Generally merging the best aspects of several d20 products as well as non-d20 products to adjust the game and not only simplify it, but make something new. My problem is that I'd rather not do it via email/website, but rather in person with other like minded individuals who then could help playtest it before going open beta. I also think a lot clearer when I am able to visualize things 3d or can work through them in discussion, i.e. House with his team of assisting doctors to bounce ideas off of.

Hopefully you'll be able to find enough people to help you, I wish you the best of luck in this endeavor.
