Looking for Distributors

Hey people.

In my area, the FLGS closed down. The owner made a bunch of bad decisions, and ran into a lot of bad luck too. Anyway, he's closed the store down and moved out of the area, and I've decided to take up the mantle of game store owner.

I've already found a good location and filled out the paperwork to get a tax id#, so now I'm looking for a distributor. The only distributor for this type of business that I know of is Diamond/Alliance, which I heard the previous owner complain about constantly.

Anyone know of a good distributor that I could start working with?

Also, can you guys give me any other advice on getting this store up and running and keeping everything going well?

The current plan, btw, is to keep RPG books (White Wolf, and D20) in stock along with M:TG and to have comics, clix, and other minis on an order only basis.

There have been a few threads in the past seeking advice on opening a gaming store. Be warned, the most commone advice it "don't do it", but most go on the give practical advice as well. Try these:

Realize that the complainer was obviously not doing the best job, so do not discount the idea of his distributor without some research. (assuming you haven't done this, you may have)
