Wand of Unseen Servant.
Except instead of conjuring a 'mindless, shapeless force' it actually summons an elderly gnomish butler, complete with outfit, who is an Expert 1 with lots of typical butler skills (Profession:butler, Knowledge:Nobility:Etiquette etc) and under the effects of an Improved Invisibilty which only the wand wielder can see through (short of True Seeing level magic). He can be given more complex instructions than a normnal servant conjured with the spell, but is limited in that he can only go into areas and do things which are feasible for a someone of his age and physical capability. Add a suitably doleful personality and you're good to go.
Oh, and unlike a normal Unseen Servant he's completely vulnerable to damage of any type (AC10, 3HP) so the wielder may face the unpleasant prospect of seeing him 'die' horribly - if it happens a lot he's likely to start getting a bit PO'ed and Good PCs who repeatedly put him in harm's way may find their alignment taking a trip south...
