Homebrew Looking for Opinions on my New Ranger Archetype

This is my first time homebrewing, please let me know if it’s too broken. Also, it was made with a Markdown-supporting app and this site might not support it. It’s a remake of the Hunter subclass better suited for my campaign setting:

# New Ranger Subclass
These rangers harness raw magic to aid them in their hunt. It might be in the form of enhanced tracking and vision or additional damage to single targets.

Note: magical damage is any damage dealt by a spell or magic item.

# Level 3
  • 15 ft. Truesight for one min. every Long Rest
  • Dense location of all creatures with 9 or higher WIS in a 50xWIS modifier ft. circle.
Every Long or Short Rest, choose one of two options:
  • +1d8 psychic damage to all enemies who took magical damage. (May replace magical damage with ranged but it might make Hail of Thorns useless.)
  • Local Surge: +1d4 force damage to all creatures within 5 ft. (circle) of the target on a successful attack roll.

# Level 7
Every Rest, choose one of two options:
  • Resistance to Psychic damage
  • If a target hits you with a magical attack, they have disadvantage on all attack rolls against you until the end of the turn.

# Level 11
Local Surge is boosted to a 10 ft. radius, you can deal extra damage from Hunter’s Mark to one additional creature in a 15 ft. radius from the target.

# Level 15
Reaction to get Resistance to magical damage until end of turn.

I don't understand how you activate the level 3 options. Does the magic damage stack with Hunter's Mark? I.e. 1d6+1d8 each attack?
Is it once when you hit?

Also. I would just use Detect Thoughts.

Level 3
You learn the Detect Thoughts spell.
In addition, you can expend a use of your Favored Enemy to cast it. Casting it this way expand the range you can Sense Thoughts up to 10' per ranger level, but you can't use Read Thoughts.

Level 7 can probably have both. Though it seems a bit awkward to track.
Suggest: when targeted by a magical attack, you can use your reaction to give the attack disadvantage and gain resistance against the attack.

Level 15:
When you use the level 7 reaction, your resistance last until the end of your turn.

Overall, nothing broken (unless it's +1d8 every attack)

The magic damage would stack, but I ended up omitting that bit while tweaking the class:

Level 3
  • 15 ft. Truesight for one min. an amount of times equal to your Proficiency Bonus.
  • You learn the Detect Thoughts spell. In addition, you can expend a use of your Favored Enemy to cast it. Casting it this way expands the range you can Sense Thoughts 10 feet per ranger level, but you cannot use Read Thoughts.
  • Local Surge: +1d4 force damage to all creatures within 5 ft. (circle) of a target on a successful attack roll.

# Level 7
You gain the following features:
  • Resistance to Psychic damage
  • If a target hits you with a magical attack, you can use your Reaction to give the attack disadvantage as well as gain Resistance to the attack.

# Level 11
Local Surge is boosted to a 10 ft. radius, you can deal extra damage from Hunter’s Mark to one additional creature in a 15 ft. radius from the target.

# Level 15
Reaction to get Resistance to magical damage until end of turn.

Thank you so much for your feedback! I’m glad the subclass isn’t broken at the least.
