Looking for PrCl for Fighter/Cleric (pseudo Ranger)

Hey, don't sound so surprised! ;)

Glad you like it.

In the requirements it would be cool to have something related to farseeing or divinations, maybe scry ranks. I would also recommend a certain level of spellcasting and the animal domain. You could boost the wilderness lore requirements.

Take a look at the Verdant Lord in Masters of the Wild. It's plant-focused, but would probably work okay. You get full spellcasting and ranger's BAB, but no undead turning (thank goodness, because this PrC's already overpowered). And since you have the Plant domain, it won't be too hard to qualify.

Hm... animal or plant, I'd say. and scry doesn't sound right: the PrC should be along the lines of the ranger, and rangers don't scry.

They do in 1e. Don't you remember Aragorn? :D

The scry thing...well he has it as a class skill, and it would guarantee that someone would need cleric levels to qualify if that is your intent. If you want straight rangers to be able to take the class then yeah it needs to go.

I just thought that it would fit with the Hawkeye motif, where the Hawkeyes know everything that occurs in thier domain. They are the sharp eyed hunters after all.

This is good stuff. Thanks keep it coming :)

Verent Lord hmmmm I had not looked at that class because I was thinking of it as a Ent type and Im not looking for the shapechanging. But if I dont go that far or dont use that power it could be good.

Im not sure how open my DM is to me making a PrC. Though her world is very differnent then most D&D settings.

Fleet runner of Elhonna combined with Verdant Lord might do the trick )FRoE is in Dragon Mag - early 3e one, sorry forget issue. One focuses on animals and the other plants. Both are "ranger-y"

Maybe the Harper Cleric from Magic of Faerun? Not sure about the prerequisites though.

Basically, he gets various "Blessings" from the Harper-Gods. I think some of them seem appropiate ... but it's probably impossible to take it without any Harpers around :D

I have that Dragon at home. (Called wife to look to see)

After work I will take a look. That Dragon has many PrC for Clerics.
The Fleet Runner is not a +1 caster class but it may still work.

Hope it works
