With a yell, Dagobert bursts headlong into the fray, charging the foul creature directly in front of him.

OOC: Charging Z3, putting Dag in K23. Attack (1d20+5=15), Damage (1d8=4) (Attack includes +1 for Bless and +2 for charge)

Surprise Round
Richard full defends.
Z8 also tramples directly through the brush to D20, menacing Richard and Wolfsbane.
Now that you have a better look at them, they appear to be dead kobolds.

The Surprise Round Concludes

"Well... their little... lizard... dogs?!? But their still undead!" With this insightful logic Richard will attack.

Richard will take an AoO on his opponent, unless his prior Full Defense prevents this. Either way he will attack this round with initiative on the little zombie. If the first hits and kills Z8 then move to Z7 and inflict dire wounds upon it post haste =-)

Use whatever rolls are appropriate: Bastard Sword Atk +5 Dmg 1d10+2 19-20/x2

AoO = Hit 15 Dmg 12 (is it dead, is it huh? If not I run in terror lol)

Round 1 Begins
Richard hits the Kobold zombie for 12 damage, but the dead Kobold is tougher than anticipated and remains upright. (As you don't threaten an area while full defending, you cannot take an AOO. Also, I'm not clear on why the Zombie would have provoked one. While being mounted on a horse causes you to effectively occupy a 10'x10' space, it does not provide reach. Let me know if I'm missing something!)

Z7 moves forward to threaten Rowan.

ooc: Manzanita: due to Z7's aproach, do you want to change targets and strikes it for the 9 damage? Since Rowan is holding a reach weapon, he'd need to use a 5' step to make space.

Z8 misses Richard.

Dagobert charges Z3, hitting it for 5 damage. ooc: Dagobert: Are you using your longsword? That should be 1d8+1 damage rather than just 1d8, right?

Rinya follows Dagobert in, striking the Zombie for another 10 damage. It's still standing, though only just.

Lucien strikes Z1 with his mace, dealing 7 damage. (The zombie takes reduced damage from blunt weapons.)

ooc: Manzanita: due to Z7's aproach, do you want to change targets and strikes it for the 9 damage? Since Rowan is holding a reach weapon, he'd need to use a 5' step to make space.

Gardner (NPC'd) moves up along Richard's left to strike at Z8 with his dagger. Gardner v Z8 (1d20+1=16, 1d4=1) He hits it for 1 damage.

Z1 and Z2 attack Lucien ineffectively. Zombies v Lucien (1d20+1=3, 1d6-1=4, 1d20+1=5, 1d6-1=4)

Z4 lumbers to the southwest, threatening Rinya.

Z6 moves to threaten Rowan, triggering an AOO. (Manzanita may roll.)

A feeling of confidence follows the initial connection of blade with rotting flesh... Richard knows, from years of training and a few real encounters, this hit was Solid!.
And yet the small dog-like lizard creature remains standing!
"Crap! That blow should have cut a man down, and this dog is still standing!"

(As you don't threaten an area while full defending, you cannot take an AOO.

He will draw sword and board and go Defensive, awaiting further developments. He'll also keep an eye out for more enemies.
