Anyone have the book yet?

Yep, got mine last night actually (he-he).

Just skimmed it so far. But it makes me want to run a game I have had in mind for a while: A combo Nyaralothotep/CoC+DnD+Iron Council high level game where the PCs must prevent a Mind Flayer cult turning the city into a giant summoning circle.

Mysterious tomb, weird symbols, a strange play, odd little scholars, and lots of fighting.

But that probablly falls into the "So Many Games, So Little Time" catagory.

Not enough rules? Does that mean (hopefully) that they concentrated on ecology and society? You know, the real stuff that makes great monsters?

Yes, and thats really what I wanted. I think the grafts and stuff are cool, but its the flavor text that sells the book to me.

Dude, have you to post the Table of Contents or give us some tidbits or _something_...

No feats or PrC for the illithid sounds odd at first glance, but I'll wait to look at the spells and subraces and fluff before writing it off as bad news. Honestly, with the number of classes and PrCs out there already, a few more are hardly needed, and illithid are already incredibly customizable.

In my hot little hands.

It's looking very nice so far. I dig the new creatures.

Still must read more, but so far it's looking better than Libris Mortis.

Who needs Lords of Madness, Libris Mortis or the Draconomicon when they can see with their own very eyes the most terrifying, bone-chilling, man-was-not-meant-to-knowing dreadful horror in the whole hobby?

I'm speaking about Megrim_Lord's signature.
It's not so bad...

I have it- got it about 1/2 an hour ago and Boz isn't going to be happy if he wrote up many of the voted on critters for that Dragon issue- a few of them are in it. Other than reading the TOC, I haven't cracked the book.

I think I will do that now. :)

Jason Buhlman already warned me about the Ulitharid, Urophion, and Illithdae being in the book so i didn't spend any time working on them. ;) also, i know about a few of the beholder variants, but i want to know EVERYTHING! ;)
