Secret: At 1st level and every two levels higher than 1st (3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th), the loremaster chooses one secret from the table below. Her level plus Intelligence modifier determines the total number of secrets she can choose. She can’t choose the same secret twice.

I've seen some uses of this class in the WotC CO forum where the character takes the secret Applicable Knowledge multiple times, with the reasoning that each feat is a different secret. None of the other posters there challenged the OP on that, which I thought odd since they are generally pretty nit-picky there.

Is that a legitimate use of the the Applicable Knowledge secret, or can you only ever use it to get one feat ever?

Applicable Knowledge is one secret, which can only be taken once. You use it to gain one feat.

Similarly, Instant Mastery, Newfound Arcana, and More Newfound Arcana are each single secrets, not a potentially infinite number of different secrets each.

I'd say it's disallowed. You can get secret only once: Applicable Knowledge is secret, it's effect is a feat. You can take any feat twice if it specially says so, but thats a different thing

I don't remember where exactly it was, it was a month or two ago. It only came up again because I was talking to a fellow player about my loremaster and he asked if I could take many many feats.
