What are the effects of losing one's psycrystal? The newer psionics book
doesn't say (I wasn't able to find specific rules), but I did find rules online
that say that the psion lost 200 EXP / Level (save for half), and could not
regain a psycrystal for six months and a day. However the rules were
coupled with the rules for the first psionics book. That is, the version
with multiple attribute dependencies -- MAD.
Second question: What is the cost of regaining the psycrystal? 100 gp?
Is a one day ceremony required as well?
Third question: Do folks actually use the six-months and a day rule (or the
one-year rule for familiars)? That seems to be an awfully steep cost. In
most of the games in which I've played, a year is longer than the in-game
duration of the campaign, so the lost is effectively forever.
