Lost Eberron 4E Style: Combat over, Level up!

Half hiding behind the wreck Lorn began another spell. Leveling his tined staff at the shambling corpse he unleashed another bolt of force with a shout. The bolt few way wide however, finally dissapating in the distance.

Lorn, half hidden from the wreck, waves his implement at the last remaining undead. With a final shout a missle of force streaks out from him, though it goes wide of the zombie. The arcane force that kept the missle together quickly unravels, and lets the missle degenerate into nothing.

The corpse, now free from the shifter's prescence, rips off another piece of flesh, this time from it's gut. Even as it's wounds continue to heal, restoring the hole it made, it hurls the throbbing piece of flesh at Stellan. The shifter though is ready, raising his shield and blocking the hunk of sinew. It drops to the ground pulsing. Finally the rotting wound from Stellan's axe stops doing damage.

[sblock=ooc]CC misses reflex with a 10. It finally makes it save vs the ongoing damage with a 17. CC is no longer bloodied. I'll update in the morning.No change in the map.[/sblock]

Stellan again reaches out with nature's wrath to drag the corpse closer to him. He bares his teeth in barbaric satisfaction as he sees the thorns rip through the undead creature's flesh and bring it within his reach. I won't let you hurt the others, rotter, he growls as he steps into the hulk of the ship and attempts to repeat the attack.

YOU, there! Die already! growls Thormir, and a flaming hand appears again, trying to grasp the last Zombie.

[size=-2]OOC: move to U11; minor:curse C; diabolic grasp on C, 12 vs For, 13 dmg + 1 curse dmg and slide to X12 so Xandren can flank it. If it'll miss (again :() Thormir will spend his temp hp to keep the power[/size]
 

Thormir moves closer to the corpse and focuses his attention on their last remaining enemy. YOU, there! Die already! growls Thormir. A flaming hand comes into existance, and swipes at the undead. The zombie ducks under the reach of the claws though. The hand disappears slowly dieing like the embers from a fire.

Xandren moves over to the undead, and swipes his fullblade in a rising cut towards the creature. Even his unnatural senses are overwhelmed by the smell of the creature. His blade goes wide, but in dodging it, the undead rolls it's ankle in the mud.

The Zombie swings a fist at Hesh at the warlord's rising weapon leaves him open to attack. The creature's footing in the mud doesn't help the blow gain any speed though, and the fist merely brushes the hobgoblin's armored chest. It's overextension lets the warforged take advantage of the creature's mistake. The warrior's blade cut the undead deep, starting at the shoulder, all the way down to it's waist.
The creature crumples, but the necrotic energy inside it can't be contained, the body explodes! A shower of rotting flesh and yellow puss cover the warrior and warlord, though it's deadly energy must have been depleted because it doesn't affect either.

[sblock=ooc]Xandren hits with a 22, for 15 damage, killing the corpse. Hesh and Xandren exposed to Death Burst. Misses Xandren with a 14 vs fort. Hesh too with a 10.[/sblock]

It is not yet morning for the Lost, who have finished another test of this place. A few hours remain before the sunrise, and the heaviest rain is over, just a steady drizzle now continues.

[sblock=ooc]As per the rest rules, if an extended rest is interrupted, you must add this time to the rest to gain benefit. About three more hours of rest and you get the benefit.[/sblock]

Xandren, his stone exterior wet from the rain speaks after a moment. "Did you want to rest? I can remain awake to make sure we aren't surprised again."
 

Phew! Well we're starting to work better together aren't we? Now I wonder when this is going to end... comments Thormir, searching the undead bodies by turning them over with his feet.
Blech. These things stink even worse than the bony ones...
