Xandren swings his fullblade against the skeleton, but the approaching waters make it only a glancing blow. The waters ascend in the hull of the ship even more. Xandren, even in his heavy armor, manages to keep himself on the surface. Water swirls around the knees of the Hesh and the skeleton.

Lorn flailed to the surface momentarily sending a rope through the air. The ropes arc was unnatural, it was being pulled along by a whispy, nearly immaterial hand even as Lorn began to sink back beneath the rushing waters. The hand wrapped the rope around one of the stairways supports tying it off just as it pulled taunt, Lorn struggling to right himself on the other end. The young mage broke the surface once more shouting and pointing his staff at the skeleton....

And the DM can fill in the blanks from there, hopefully more action hero than fish food in training. :P

Minor: Mage Hand the rope to tie one end around the part of the stairs that led down here.

Move: Wrapping rope around arm Lorn tries to right himself and pulls himself to F18.

Standard: Thunderwave: Int vs Fort (Area: F,G,H/15,16,17) (1d20+5=13)
Thunder Damage (1d6+5=7) no push.

Let me know if you need anymore checks or if I've broken down the action allotment incorrectly. I didn't know if having a brace would be enough to get around a swim check.

Thormir raises his arm, leveling it at the undead. A corruscating ray springs from his finger, but the blast flies wide of the skeleton. Drawing inspiration from Hesh, and his ability to withstand the skeleton's blade, Thormir fires another blast of arcane energy. This one strikes the undead dead in the chest, and the creature staggers back.

Hesh strikes at the undead, but the incroaching water spoils his aim, his flail catching only empty air. Calling upon reserves of strength from deep inside him, memories of battles that ended in his favor, the warlord kicks his foot up high, higher than the undead thought possible. The ball of the hobgoblin's foot connect's with the creature's chin, snapping it's head back. The skeleton recover's quickly though, ducking and slicing at Hesh's exposed hamstring. Xandren reacts almost immediately swinging his fullblade, but it whistles as it flies over the creature's head

Lorn reaches out, with the rope in hand, it flows through the water a hand guiding it. It loops around the rail of the stair and the wizard is able to propel himself to the side. Unfortunately it draws the ire of the skeleton, which manages to slide it's blade through the water and between his ribs. Gasping with pain while still being under water

[sblock=ooc]I'll allow you to move w/o a check, but you'll still draw OAs and must end the move closer to the stairs You'll also still be underwater and have to make endurance checks to avoid losing Healing surges when hit by attacks(I'll need one here). Skeleton hits with it's own OA with a 30 to hit for 7 damage. Thunderwave misses.[/sblock]

The skeleton attacks the wizard again, having no mercy against the wizard, as the warforged couldn't react. The blade's aim is deflected by the swirling currents of the water flowing around the wizard.

Ha, this one's tougher than most,ain't it? grunts Thormir, while he charges power i his open palm. Lessee ya eat this! he yells, as he discharges a powerful blast that almost disintegrates the skeleton with its power.

Lorn's side burned with pain as blood and saltwater mixed together, it was all he could do to not lose his grip on the lifeline.
