Lost- episode 4- 10-25-06

Better then last weeks episode

Anyone happen to see what appears to be a pole of some sort, sticking from the ground, towards the end, right after Sawyer slugs Benjamin.

*sigh* My DVR ate the Lost timer again. I don't know what the problem is, but I guess I get to wait until they post the episode up on their website now. Of course this time a whole bunch of timers got ate, I think I'm going to have to call Dish Network. :(

They have a 'sub', which can hold at least five (was that not the that went to get the boat)? I wonder if is will just turn out to be a submerged transport pod.

Another island, did the map show that? Would have thought that would have been know at least by the french woman but they have been leading up to it for some time. So much for my living in the cone of a volcano. :( Some of the clues, fires on the beach to signal, getting to multi-locations on both sides of the island (which means the island should have been seen at some point), the dock, power cable, even the food drop without notice of a plane. It just did not look that far away not to be seen.

Best thing this week was Jack. Sawyer and Kate are acting like Clark and Lana and getting on my nerves.

Good question. Didn't Juliette tell Jack that the intercom didn't work in the first episode? Also, given the apparent status of much of the technology of the Others, I wouldn't be surprised if they thought it didn't actually work.

I don't know thye have the camera in Jack's cell, so they can see him listening at the box. And he mentioned to Juliette in the first episode about hearingsomething in the PA system. So they are probably aware that it is slightly operational. Heck especially now that he mentioned he heard them do something to Sawyer.

My theory is that Jack's dad is alive and on the island, because Jack heard his father's voice through the intercom in episode 3.01.

The Others' island had better have a cloaking device, or some other damned good explanation why nobody has mentioned that there's another island nearby.

The second Island thing really bothers me too. At this point though I just atribute it to poor writing.

The next question I have is how many others are there? We have seen in thier HQ maybe about 12-18. Maybe at some point Jack should point out to them that they have lost 5 people (2 by Eko on the tailly raid, 1 by Anna, 1 by Charlie, and 1 by Sun) and that the others approach of stalking them and torturing them seems to not be going well. The others seem to be taking an awfly high mortality rate.

I think Sawyer is con enough that when he starts one he stays in character, I think he is playing them. He knows a con and he knows they are all smoke and mirrors. He wants more than freedom, we wants what they have, their boat. Getting Kate and Jack out, where you going to go, back, nope, he wants off the island. Does this mean he wil take a beating or two, yep. Does this mean he will let them think what they will and Kate think what she will, yep.
