LOST the game (spoilers for the TV show)

Watch a few eps of medium or ghost whisperer. For practicality of telling a story, the number of active ghosts has to be fewer.

Plus, the player assumes its a hallucination right now, not dead people ghosts.

Top that off with to get out, an afflicted person may fake being normal.

After this, I had to wonder why Hurley only saw some ghosts, but not others. Like, on the island he should've spotted tons of folks. If it's only folks who knew him or want to send him a message, I suppose that works with Dave, since Dave wanted to talk to his crazy wife Libby, who was also in the institution.

Yeah, I read that too, but it doesn't make as much sense in my head as it being the same Dave.

I'm changing the stuff I really dislike. So if by some chance the end of my game in any way resembles the end of the TV show, there's definitely no afterlife waiting room for heaven because that doesn't make logical sense, and it's also a narratively-crap move because it makes half of the last season pointless.

Back when Lost was really big, I started up a D&D LOST campaign; it was set in Eberron's Xen'drik. I made up a player poster-sized map of the "starting area", complete with place-names written in a foreign language (drow, in code).

The party were all high-level members of the various Dragonmark house or nations, on the maiden voyage of an Elemental Airship that was supposed to be heading for Stormreach - and never quite made it. I had a slew of NPCs with their own agendas (perhaps too many), and each PC had their own "secret" (other PCs would gain XP if they could discover the secret through play). The main opening scene (after an introductory scene aboard the Airship) resembled a fantasy version of Jack stepping out of the woods to view the remnants of the plane crash.

Sadly, before we could get far into the exploration of the area, the game broke up. What I had designed so far can be found here. If I ever find the map I made, I'll try to scan it and post it.
