The key to reconciliation is, in most cases, apologizing.

However, in my experience, when a fight occurs because of game stuff, it's reflective of something deeper, more serious than just the game... especially when the people you game with are your friends and not just your gaming group. I'd start by trying to get down to what was really the problem.

That's a good idea, and i'd love to hammer out the dents in the relationship, but i don't know how easy it is to discuss the real problem. It's hard to hear criticisim from a friend, but it's even harder to try and tell a friend something is bothering you when you know they'll get upset.
Maybe if they just know that i'm trying to fix things and that their friendship means a lot to me then discussing the problem won't be as hard?

maybe.

Bummer, but understandable, particularly if gaming was the primary framework of socializing.

In my case it wasn't though. We were all big sports fan, movie fans, and things like that.

Well then I have to say that just sucks. The other alternative that I didn't mention above, is that some people are just jerks. It's the other irrevocable, undeniable part of human nature. :p ;)

Ah...no. My favorite pastimes include long walks on the beach, and encompassing reality.

It seems like encompassing reality would take up a lot of your time so I'm glad to see that you're occasionally able to bust loose and take a walk on the beach.

Of course, one must then try to imagine what kind of beach the universe is walking on... is this some beach beyond the bounds of reality? Does the universe, however briefly, cease to be in order to walk on a tiny piece of itself? Or is this rather a metaphysical stroll on an allegorical seashore?

Whoa.

I just imagined that you are so powerful in your abilities that it just was; who am I to question the power of the Universe?

Good point. It would do us all well not to forget my own nigh omnipotence. ;)
