LotR marathon, Dinner and a Movie style

I'd suggest two meals and something snacky in between. The movies are long, even extended, but not so long that there's really time for three meals with becoming seriously heavy. Personally, I'd go with a light breakfast and a large lunch, and let dinner be something simple but filling. If you're set on stew, use that for dinner, the smell of simmering stew would be wonderful during Two Towers, I think.

So, I'm all geared up to host a LotR marathon
I did this once with a friend, it was for the three star-wars movies. At the end of the day we both got a headache. Recently I thought doing the same with the three LotR movies, but with the lengthy version of course. Ahem, not sure if I would be able to stay in front of the screen for 10 hours of film... :heh:

I am seriously considering doing an LotR marathon and was going to do the breakfast thing, lunch and dinner thing between movies. Movie inspired food would make it even more fun! These are some great ideas!

You know PO TA TOES!

You could do a golem themed appetizer dual sides to it.

A little wine,

Tomatoes, sausages, nice crispy bacon, all skillet cooked of course.

A fish entree and don't forget for everyone to sing the "Juicy sweet song"

good luck
