LOTR Movie Soundtrack wasnt that good...

I have to agree and disagree. I think that the music complemented the action during the movie fantastically, but an awful lot of the music on the soundtrack just sounds like a dirge when you bring it home and play it through. A couple of the songs I just loved – the shire and May it be to name two off my head – but most of it is just too intense to listen to while your trying to do anything else.

I didnt find it cheesey at all. As a matter of fact, that scene when the music kicks in as the Fellowship crests the foothills of Caradhras (Damn I cant spell anything Tolkien when I first get up) is one of my favorite movie-tied-in-with-score scenes to date.

Plus the score is a good cd to game to. We have used it every Thursday and Sunday since it came out.
