Low-Level Story Hours?

I will chime in and give a shameless plug for my Story Hour (linked in my signature). The characters are currently 4th level (3rd level where the story hour is currently). The world is comprised of differing cultures (complete with language barriers in the player group) along with differing philosophies (which helps create an interesting environment for inter-party role-playing).

Major plot-points (on a macro level) that have come up so far include the closure of a major trade route, tension between the Mother Church of Æhü and a radical denomination that has split from the Orthodoxy (Æhüthianism is monotheistic), and members of the peerage (nobility/royalty) that are trying to manipulate events to their own advantage. Toss in a little scheming from some planar entities and you have a brief glimpse of my story hour. Sorry if I’m being a bit vague; a lot of my players read these boards and I must protect certain campaign secrets for the time being.

Give it a try, if you’d like, and let me know what you think.

Well, its at the high end of your request, but my own storyhour starts at level 10 (and the PCs will be at that level till after I finish the end of the first plot here).

Small Beginnings might be right up your alley. A bunch of would-be heroes on their first adventure together. Lots of in game expostion disguised as action and dialogue. Its a pretty quick read, too.

Check it out.

Well, Of Sound Mind the Halfling Way (linked in my sig) is a low-level halfling game I run... currently, the highest-level pcs are 3rd. And they're a clan of halflings. With a dog (kobold) and an adopted human.

Since we are pimpin'...

I second several of the above SH's, particularly early Wulf and Nemmerle's.

Or, you can try my Faded Glory story hour.

The postings are midway through Session 23 (played over the last 3 years) and the PCs are all 5-6th level. The setting is a backwater town on the abandoned frontier of a crumbling empire. The party is caught up in a rising ancient evil, beset by political intrigue and haunted by their most dangerous nemesis...pits and rats!

Give it a shot...

That's a great suggestion.

Just stop reading right at the end of The Standing Stone.

Hell, I still wish I'd stopped writing right about there, anyway. ;)

Link is in the sig.

I'm hurt Wulf. I've been one of your story hour's biggest fans, and I've mentioned being that fact several times on this board. (Heck, I've read the entire story hour at least twice.)

Thanks to everyone else for your suggestions. I'll be checking several of these out.

the story hour in my sig starts at level 1.

but since it was a 2000ed campaign progression is too fast for me (although, slow compared to the standard).

by page 10 or so (12 or so now i guess with the 20 posts count) it gets to level 4.
