Pathfinder 1E [LPF] Rodents of Unusual Size

Cyclopean

First Post
Topaz darts forward, biting the rat and attempting to wrap around it. Tirgas steps into the space she left and begins chanting.

[sblock=ooc, rolls]

Topaz hits for four damage: 1d20+5=15, 1d3+2=4, 1d20+8=14

If the rat's CMD is less than 14, it's grappled.

Tirgas will begin summoning a dog.[/sblock]

The distractions of firing into combat without hitting Ru in the back causes Dame Morrogrim's aim to be off and the crossbow bolt goes wide of it's intended target.

Topaz strikes, and then coils around the rat, squeezing the life out of it slowly.

[sblock=Combat Round 3]Firing into combat is an additional -4 to hit.

[sblock=rule question]Is there any penalty to hit the grappled rat, or is there a chance to shoot Topaz? I couldn't find anything on this, but want to be sure[/sblock]

attack with Short Bow against "brother rat"

Attack vs Brother Rat: 1D20+4 = [19]+4 = 23
1D6 = [4] = 4
[/sblock]

Robert knocks another arrow back and shots at the other Rat. And hits...
"What? Again? Did someone of you guys do something with my bow? Anyone?" Robert asks confused. "Or maybe dropping it several times fixed it..."

=== Charity, Human Female ===
CharityClose.jpg

Eyes focused on living enemies, the young woman fearlessly steps over the fallen rat at the lip of the pool to swing her glaive at its living brother. Unused to stepping high enough to get her foot over a dog-sized animal, she trips on the corpse. Charity keeps herself from falling, but her swing goes crashing into the cave floor.

[sblock=ooc]
Charity moves to V,-4 (one square, even with a dead rat in it, should be fine), then misses Brother Rat. Another 1.

Dame Morrogrim arches an eyebrow and points to the standing rat.

"That one must die! Kill it now!"

Once she is satisfied her hex has set, she returns to loading her crossbow.

[sblock=ooc]Cast Evil Eye at rat (DC 16). Reload as move action.[/sblock]

Topaz coils tighter and tighter around her chittering prey. Behind them, a dog materializes from a cloud of swirling dust as Tirgas finishes his incantation. At his command, the dog's teeth seek what little of the rat's flesh remains exposed.

The dwarf shields his eyes from the torchlight as he leans forward, attempting to make sense of the skeleton against the wall.

[sblock=rolls, ooc]

Topaz Grapple Check: 1d20+12=31

Upon succeeding her check to maintain the grapple, Topaz will pin the sorry blighter. It gets -4 to AC, and has no dex bonus, so I think dog manages to hit it after flanking is taken into account.

Dog attack: 1d20+2=8, 1d4+1=2

Tirgas makes a perception check on the spoooky skeleton; it appears to be standing up, but it hasn't done anything, and this strikes him as odd. Also rolling dungeoneering on the off chance that it's relevant.

Perception/Knowledge (dungeoneering): 1d20+8=13, 1d20+5=12

"Don't go looking the horses in the mouth, Scar," Ru quips to Robert on his hit. "Just say thank you for the nice, snaky bow with which our little rat is tied up."

Smiling, the southerner slashes out at the pinned rodent with both of his blades.

[sblock=ooc]Between the pinning and the Evil Eye hex (I'm assuming that was applied to AC, I'm not sure what the Rat's current AC is. It's vaguely possible Ru hit even with a 9. Since it's denied dex, I believe sneak attack damage applies? If not, just excise that:

Topaz is able to wrap around and retrain the rat so it cannot go anywhere. The witch's glare seems to frighten the rat even though it really doesn't know what a witch is capable of doing. The dog that just appeared bites and pulls at a leg while Ru sloppily slices away without actually hitting the python. In the end, the rat is gurgling blood from many places and offers no more resistance to the snake's embrace.

The skeleton watches the horror of the scene as his guardians are mercilessly slaughtered with a poker face of stone, apparently hoping that the same viciousness does not befall him.
[sblock=Tirgas]Your knowledge dungeoneering training that you had at one point reminds you that when dealing with skeletons or other things that are still moving after they die, you go talk to a priest. Since you don't have formal training in that field, you are unsure if the skeleton is behaving normally, or if he is the maverick of his brood.[/sblock][sblock=Combat Round 4]12/20 ~ AC 18 ~ Ru ~
