D&D 5E Luo Peaks / Sky Lizard Mountains

This regards the Tomb of Annihilation map vs 3rd Edition Chult.

Anyone know the reason why this mountain range (to the east of Lake Luo) was renamed?

(AFAIK, the new name doesn't serve any purpose in the rpg adventure since the only mention of the mountain range other than on the map is two unnotable references in the Hisari and Valley of Dread sections)

My question is: why couldn't the name be kept as Luo Peaks? Why go through the bother of renaming this obscure geographical feature that plays zero role in the adventure?

Maybe to better introduce the Pterafolk in the adventure..
I think its a reference to them.
