Lurk or Beguiler?

Ok so i'm making a character for my friends campaign and i'm either going to be a beguiler/wizard/ultimate magus or a lurk/wizard/cerebremancer.

My race is synad, and its a 36 point buy for those who want to know.

Anyway any suggestions on which to take over the other would be wonderful, thanks in advance.

In general, beguiler >> lurk. The first build makes you a dual-casting metamagic-using powerhouse, the second one makes you a rogue/wizard with a few minor perks. It really depends on what you want to do, though; both beguiler and lurk do sneaking and skill-monkeying well, but if you're planning to be in melee and/or taking out single targets, you might very well want to go with lurk, whereas if you're looking more at the face or controller roles beguiler is the way to go.

Thanks i was leaning towards the beguiler already the only thing stoping me was wanting to give psionics a shot since i've never done it and i thought a Synad character would be a good race to try it with.
