Hmmm. Less scenic, but how about two motors working in relay on a single rail to the top? One motor pulls the cabs up to a middle "reststop" (with the top motor just winding cable so it stays taunt), put that motor on neutral, top motor takes over (middle motor just unwinding cable so it stays taunt). There'd be some tricky bits at the middle reststop when the bottom-to-middle cable goes from pulling one way to unwinding the other way and the cabs have to go *over* the middle winch system, but I think that can be worked out, right?

I kept thinking that I posted my response.

So basically two inclined lifts/elevators that are pulled towards and away from each other. of course, with a strong enough engine and enough cables I'm pretty sure that a system like this one could be done (considering the angle of the slope looks rather steep). Then again if the cable system is powerful enough there would be no reason for the second car being placed on the same rail.

ARE there cherries on this planet? If not, what would fit the "**** red" similee instead?

*rolls dice* Odd = no.

Looks like there are. They are mostly small tree-like bushes or cherry bonsais!

Uh, Not sure what you mean here. I was trying to describe a single cab, possibly with multiple wagons attached, being pulled up the slope, from the bottom all the way to the top, by two motors in succession.

Hee...well my plan was to use Deezy's gadget to try to take control of the crab. But suddenly I'm not sure if it can do that...so I may have to edit mein post. :)

Well.. looking at Deezy's sheet, she has +15 computers so using the DRUID allows you to get a hacking check in.

Considering that this is a post apocalyptic world there are several scenarios:

1) The robot's maker made the security program. (Opposed Use Computers Roll).
2) The robot's maker bought the security program from someone else (mostlikely dc20 or dc 25 since "there aren't many computer programmers around on mars")
3) The robot is very old and was built when technology was more prevalent.. (DC 20 - 40)
