Btw, I could have Chirp just see/hear the javolin and then just bolt after it, he can run a little over mach 2.6 ( O_o; ) so it's not inconsivable that he could chase after a jet, not saying he could keep-up-with/out-pace a javelin flying at full speed though, but then again it would have to slow down to land and he would have a basic idea of were it would be landing, so he could just do a quick (very quick) look around to find were it landed though.

Just an idea :3
Also, his picture is at about, 75%, I think; also, I finally settled on his nose, so he should be ready for viewing tomorrow :3
(and I think I forgot to say he is 15, 6'5" and 137 pounds: he takes lean to a new extreme; sad part, he is still getting taller O_o; )
[Useless fact; his adult height is 6'11", baring further mutation/ corection before his stature is made cannon]

Alright, I thought I'd see if Batgirl was gonna weigh in, but things have been quiet too long, perhaps. I shall get things started today.

Thanks for your patience, all.

Zerith: so he's... a super-fast man-kitten? And he's hyper-sensitive to any/all drugs?

Okay, let's work with that. I'll write you in. You're not just following the Javalin, you're in Metropolis for a reason.

And speaking of patience...doh.

Okay, well, I was gonna have us split up since time was of the essence...

And I'm still open to suggestions. Also, feel free to weigh in on the "blank clues."

My guess is that their blank status IS the clue. Maybe there's a building somewhere dedicated to "no letters" or "missing letters." Or maybe it's more cerebral, like a place where censorship takes place (which could easily mean The Daily Planet).

Dre, Echo did ask you at one point if you could "pick up" the Riddler's scent, either from the room or from Green Dragon's Happy Helmet or whatever. That could be crucial, as tracking where the Riddler was at each site will surely lead us to the bomb there, eventually.

Also, Mr. GM, what time of day is it?

Dre got the scent and suggested in-play he could search for places the riddler were in the building to search for the bomb.

If they go to S.T.A.R. labs, turn to page 41
If they go to Metropolis Aquarium, turn to page 87
If they go to First National Bank of Metropolis, turn to page 16
If they go to fight bands of roving super-criminals, turn to page 43
I will answer this here: If the super-criminals are not on a killing spree, but mere theft, I would like to suggest the First National Bank.

@shayri
the Editor(')s office(s) is a provable spot for were a bomb could be at the planet with that logic :3

but, limiting the search to just were the Riddler went/was would be a grave error, we know he has minions working with him; who is to say they were not the ones setting the bombs? he might have only popped up at the planet while never setting foot at the other sites; we don't even know if these specific minions were the ones setting bombs else were, and their suits could be distorting their real sent, who knows if they were in 'uniform' at the other sites? That said, outfits like theirs would ketch a lot of scents easy, might be worth seeing what they smell like to see where they have been that way.

Also, major Cities are lousy for tracking: even scents can easily get diminished or entirely lost in them, because there is a lot of people crisscrossing paths and so many powerful odors in cities. And that the odors of a city are not entirely consent makes it harder to just get use to them :/

Trying to escape search dogs?
Three things to do:
-Go though densely populated/smelly areas: preferably ones that are jammed pact while you’re there or will produce additional odors after you leave.* Anything to over whelm that highly sensitive nose of theirs; be it giving it to many scents to processes or scents to powerful to sense yours through.

-Give your, preferably old and smelly, jacket/whatever to some homeless person you see and then go past them: your cloths; that have been saturated in your oder for a few hours of use, if not longer, are more smelly then your trail, dogs will stop to find them; and that they can leave a fairly fresh trail of your sent after you’ve been gone for a while can be very nice (combining with the below could work nicely)

-Changer you sent: have a quick bath, pout on fresh cloths and pout on a lot of cologne, perfume, anything with a strong odder. (but preferably not something that makes you stand out)
[Do this again, with a different masking order every few hours or so if possible: all this is really doing is buying some time, and is assuming you are far enough ahead, and have the supplies prepared at a pre stocked site already]

Three things not to do:
-*Do not back track or exit the same way you came; ever. If presented with a force in the road, they will smell the stronger scent, the one that you left most recently, and fallow that without even bothering with the diversion (IE, you just wasted time: back doors that lead into alleyway with smelly dumpsters are your friend, use them)

-Never crisscross your own path, as said above, if given a fork in the road, the dogs will follow the stronger sent; the bigger the loop you make when you crisscross, the more ground the dogs don’t have to go before their biting your arse off.

-Do not use a mellow body of water to ‘mask’ your sent; your scent will instead just stand ontop of the water and I will make it easier for the dogs to fallow you. Burther, you just made yourself wet and ever more smelly: Go you! XD

@ Fire
Hmmmm; any events going on in Metropolis?

Time of Day: good question. xp to anyone who figures that out from previous posts while I go work at my night job!

Events: currently there's a mystery to be solved... also, you'll find out when they decide what they're doing.

Scent: neat info! However, he's got a localized super-scent thing. I'll allow it to help for purely expositional purposes when he gets to a reasonable site where his quarry may be/have been.

Chirp: Okay, nice one. However, he's running around right now with no mention of how he hero's it up.

1) Costume description. No actual articles of clothing, please, you are wearing spandex.

2) Why are you a sidekick? This isn't just "he'll teach me to use my powers" stuff; you can do that on a farm on weekends. You're not a student at Xaviers, you're actively interested in solving crimes as a hero. Why? Heck, you stole your uncle's formula and drank it for a science fair. Why not just rob banks and cause trouble? Or have loads of science projects and turn to a life of super-villainy like your uncle? Riddle me that, Chirpy. Inquiring minds deserve to know! (and one of them would have been Batman)

Don’t think he would were actual spandex; skin tight clothing + fur = ichy (or at least I would think so :/)
Also, from what I can tell, spandex is more of a default then a rule in DC: the Zataras are an example they literally go around in their stage cloths O_o;
You also have Giantess and grundy, most of batman’s foes, but The Question is the prime anti spandex DC hero; in fact, he is anti DC hero appearance wise twice over, a good few of the spandex wearing supper heroes don’t cover their faces up at all (superman comes to mind) but were a cheesy skin tight out fit to disguise who they are: The Question wares street cloths(suits) and hides every detail of his(or her depending on how far into ‘his’ plot we are talking) face. that said, chip is a not like The Question in mindset or ability; but I figured it was worth noting.
And honestly, have not given his out hit much thought yet :/
[his picture is him in street clothes, I should have it up in a few :3]

That said he is bit flamboyant; so it might be rather flashy (bright blow with orange details likely) with a mantle or some kind of cape; something to flutter about, probably give him a helmet as well (so that his gasmask can be built into it, likely with some kind of circumventer so that he can smell stuff with it on if he has to (he gets high on fumes kind of easy… and cites are full of fumes…)

As for why he is set on a heroic path and not a villainous one is simple: he is (more then) smart enough to know when someone is doing him a favor, and for two years of his life he was basically a charity case of Bruce Wayne after modified and drank the mutagen and wants to payback the debt somehow. (also, when he messed around with his genes he did a real number on his mental growth and stability; his mentality is a bit under developed O_o; )
[oddly enough, he things Bruce is really The Green Arrow: why? Because the Green Arrow is blond and has a beard; Bruce has no beard and has dark/black hair making it harder to see who he really is, also the Green Arrow uses a lot of gadget arrows. And that the greenarrow dues not protect Gotham gives Bruce even more camouflage. Meanwhile, Batman is some kind of ex Special Forces super ninja who is employed by Bruce: why? Batman is unrealistically good at melee while the Green Arrow is ‘only’ above average while preferring to fight at range: what is more likely for a rich boy, using gizmos from afar as a robin hood type character or punching the other guys brains out with his bare hands before vanishing like a freaking ninja? O_o also, having been in a very limited space for two years, he had a lot of time to theorize about silly things… think Batgirl will get a laugh out of him? XD

Keep in mind, a Superhuman level intellect thinking at a speed of 32 times faster than one should be able to, that has little better to do then daydream and ponder about super heroes while seeing Bruce Wayne as the man who saved his life and thus a bit of a fixation on him; for two years (or the equivalent of 64 years) and that Batman gets Bruce’s wards as sidekicks and that robin was highly acrobatic while Richard was part of an aerialist act only further conformed his belief that Bruce is the Green Arrow (Bruce is obviously smart enough to let them learn under the Super Ninja guy before they go of an their own ;3)

(hmm, he is acting a bit like The Question here… he might have been acting runner for mister Q; he might have even gotten teamed up with the sluth to become a bit more perceptive while making the suit loosen up. O_o; )

-End pointless side tracking]

Also, he has a generally good and helpful demeanor so he is not likely to consciously turn bad any time soon. That said he might in the future; who knows :3
(his mindset could get warped by a tainted treatment as well, he has alot of room to be a switch hitter acutely :3)
As for why is chose to be a side kick first and not just go off on his own; he is a bit of a kid still, and working with real super heroes while learning from them? He is more than smart enough to see the opportunity here (and that being around others who know about his condition and have recourses to get him treated as sap if his condition suddenly changes is a good thing) while also being a bit giddy about working with people who should be in comics/cartoons (another thing, he still reads/watches them, if a TV ever factors into things and it is just being used for casual viewing, expect Bugs Bunny!)

Anyways, his outfit might end up rather militant with some Batmanish inspirations; a sketch I did with a ‘dramatic’ cape just looks to strong and imposing for him. Then again, I might make him a “looks imposing until he talks” character XD

So, I think I will post up the aborted draft of his ‘hero’ get up when I post up his appearance :3
