M&M for Fantasy

Green Ronin is publishing Warlocks and Warriors (or something like that) to be used precisely as you intend, I would think it doesn't get any better than that, straight from the M&M source ;)

Ooooooo...I was completely unaware of this...this may be my only non-4E must have purchase.

Glad to see that I'm not the only person that's pondered using M&M for fantasy.

Though my own thought was more along the lines of One Piece meets DnD.

Here's the info for Warriors & Warlocks. We'll be talking more about it on mutantsandmasterminds.com as we get closer to release.

Not all comic books are about costumed heroes fighting crime; many classic comics have featured the fantastical adventures of sword-wielding and spell-casting heroes. Now Warriors & Warlocks takes the Mutants & Masterminds RPG to the realm of fantasy. This beautifully illustrated sourcebook includes information on character design, magic, equipment, villains, monsters, and more. It also includes a Mutants & Masterminds rules companion to Green Ronin's popular Pirate’s Guide to Freeport, along with an introduction and overview of Freeport as a setting for fantasy adventures. Warriors & Warlocks is your go-to guide for comic book sword & sorcery action.

And for those of us out there that have decided to stay with 1st Ed M&M, there's always Monsters and Mayhem: A Fantasy Toolkit from Cracked Mirror Publishing.

I haven't had a chance to run it yet, but it's nice to have. Yes, I realize there's nerd rage about paying $10 for a "playtest" document. *shrug* Since I had a spare $10, a disinclination to upgrade to 2nd Ed, and a lack of time for forum scanning and so forth... it certainly seems worth it to me.

Ditto on the awesome.

I had no idea that Grenn Ronin was releasing a fantasy source book for M&M. For my group, this is a viable, and oh-so-tempting alternative to D&D.

Mr. Pramas, this product looks like it has promise!

Now if I can only get my players to try M&M once this gets out and I get my hands on it.:erm: Some of them are notorious sticks in proverbial mud.
