[M&M] Telekinesis used in combat?

First Post
Could anyone explain to me how to come up with a damage bonus for an object flung around with telekinesis in combat? For example: tonight I had a telekinetic character use a movie projector to knock someone over the head. Should the damage bonus be his power rank or something related to the object's size? Any thoughts?

Book not in front of me...

IIRC Tk does not have a by default damage capability. You can lift things and move them but if you want to add an attack ability you would need to add that as an extra or use extra effort whenever you do so.

So, assuming you have added an attack effect to your TK, then (and this is based on what i understand, it is not clearly spelled out) you would effectively be using the improvised weapon rules. Use your TK rank as super-strength and you do damage equal to that strength OR double the object's hardness, whichever is less. if the object is large enough, it becomes an area attack.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'm thinking I may make a chart myself based on object size/hardness.

However, I'd rather not tell the player he has to buy an extra to use TK this way. Personally, I don't see a problem with using it to throw things at people. My only issue was finding a rule to cover it.

It probably wouldn't be too much trouble to tag on Kinetic Blast as an extra to Telekenesis. This way, the character doesn't have to rely on loose objects, but can smack people around using pure kinetic force.
