[M&M2e] Red Sands Chronicles

Sahid is like another ghost in the mist, appearing from nowhere to strike and then banishing in the mist. This time however, his blow goes wide.

OOC: That is weird. All your die rolls didn't show up in the thread when I was posting last night (which is why I redid your rolls). Of course, that might explain the weird lag I had when loading this thread before I posted..

Seif swallowed a curse. Smoothly reversing his grip on the swords of Qssim, he leaped off the wall, both blades set to impale his clawing attacker below.

With a faint spray of blaskish blood, Seif impales the Wasteland Ghost with his sword...

OOC: You are able to make out a lot of their bodily detail (due to heat variances) as well as location/positioning, but while their concealment is up, you could not make out the color of their skin, eyes, and hair/fur unless they are on the edge of your vision, or unless they drop their concealment which is likely since it's a concentration duration.

OOC: That's what I figured. Was mostly just checking to see whether their concealment impacted his ability to attack, which it sounds like it doesn't. :)


"It's eight," Brian corrects Seif over the comm link. The young man crouches low next to a piece of ruin, hoping to stay unnotices. Meanwhile, the ice on the ground creeps aggressively up on the form of one of the phantoms.

Seeing that most of the mutants ahead of them are either taken care of or running away, Deezy turns the Beast around and with the grating of heavy servos, raises its right arm. The multibarrelled array of the gyrocannon starts to spin up to speed, disgorging a hail of bullets towards the nearest mutant coming from behind!
 

Deezy fires at the rear group and misses.
Deezy 7 vs 16 --> Miss.

Wasteland Ghost 1 lets out a horrid scream...
Seif Will 13 vs 14 --> Fail, Shakened
Seif: -2 attack, -2 save

...causing Seif to become shaken.

Wasteland Ghosts 2 and 3 flee out of visual range.

Wasteland Ghost 4 is stunned..

Wasteland Ghost 5 leaps onto a crumbling wall...
WG5: Spot: 8 vs Brian 17 --> Brian Successful!
.. and fails to spot him as it leaps off the heads towards Seif's direction.

Wasteland Ghost 6 scans the mist for Sahid...

Brian Shaughnessy

Brian slinks down as one of the ghosts jumps near him, holding his breath as it fails to find him. He realizes that the creatures have little in the way of morale, as any injured parties seem to go running. As the young factory worker scuttles away from the wall so recently occupied by a leaping ghost, once again the temperature drops with painful quickness across the flesh of one of the remaining uninjured Wasteland Ghosts.

OOC: Flash Freeze on another ghost. DC 20 [cold]. I don't know if Brian has to re-hide after attacking since the power is perception range and Subtle, but I rolled it just in case.
