[M&M2e] Red Sands Chronicles

"Klatta?" asked Seif, wanting confirmation.

<Response Deezy?>

[sblock=OOC]Not entirely clear on the "dash to the Arroyo" part, Relique. Seif was planning to knock out the sentinel and then go down the trail and straight up to the main gate, thereby avoiding any traps the raiders might have set on the other approaches... Or does the trail they've been following go into the arroyo before leading up to the gate?[/sblock]

OOC: The path cuts through it since a few hundred feet of the area between the bone yard where the camp and the bluff is an arroyo (using the flood plain with a bunch of dried creeks sense of the term).

Deezy plays back the recording to herself, then says, "They don't say for sure...but one's worried the girlfriend might be listening in. Looks like there's a big raid on Slaughter Town going on. They mention giant mutant enforcers, the Spartan, and his 'sword wielding' girlfriend. No mention of where they are though...except the talk of her maybe listening in."

"Probably in the raiding party," concluded Seif, though he made a mental note to capture her if she wasn't. "Shaughnessy?" He pointed to the lone sentinel: "Kill him."

<Response Brian?>

OOC: The desert man stands ready to rush up to the gate as soon as he does, riding in exactly the path the tracks follow to get there (in case they mined/trapped part of the trail, don't chyou know ;)).

EDIT= Does Seif know anything of Slaughter Town? Knowledge Desert +11.

Pausing to see how Jkason wants to do the attack..

Seif does not really know anything about Slaughter Town. That is because many permanent raider settlements tend to be renamed, abandoned, and/or resettled whenever there is a change in power (or as a result of a local authority breaking them up). Unfortunately, from the little bits of information that Seif previously heard, he knows that Slaughter Town is a result of a recent change of power.

However, Seif could assume some facts about Slaughter Town. For instance, it would have to have reinforced structures to handle the weight of Warlord Muro's armor and the weight of his "giant" (assuming the giant is a literal giant). If Warlord Muro is actually a Spartan, Slaughter Town would have some kind of strictly enforced law or code of conduct that dictates every aspect of life within the settlement and would go beyond those found in most raider camps. Seif could also assume that because Warlord Muro has spartan armor then it is extremely likely that Slaughter Town is at the site of an abandoned town, aethermine, foundery, etc since he would need access to proper tools to maintain his suit.

Sahid springs into motion, gathering the water vapour around him, condensing into an elongated snake like cilinder and using it as a whip.

Had almost forgotten he- Seif eyes widened before he whirled and nudged the Ottoman's hands a little to the left, three hands now helping to guide that not inconsiderable serpent of water.

"He is moving," he said, referring to the guard. It is almost a curse to the Gods of luck.

OOC: A not-entirely-legal Aid Another. If allowed: 1d20+6=23. Success! Sahid's roll is now an 18.

Sahid cautiously wraps a column of water vapor around the watchmen as Brian concentrates on the region around him...
Mook Tough:1d20+4=15 vs 20 --> Fail
Mook Will: 1d20 +2 =4 --> Fail
Mook defeated.. deadman switch not dropped/opened
Deadman switch: 18 vs 20 --> Damaged -1
Looks like the Dead man's switch he is carrying is stuck in the "not dead" position. :D

... causing the temperature around the man to drop to absolute zero, instantly causing him and the water vapor that surrounded his body to turn into solid ice.

Deezy: 1d20+10=26

"... I grow tired of watching these barbarians." A woman said with a slight Arabic accent, "It is a dishonor to allow me to waste away in the sands far from my warlord's table."

"Cherry blossoms bloom / slowly in the Martian sands / Patience is the key. Mistress of the blades, daughter of the martian sands, you have yet to bloom."* A man replied in a hushed Japanese accent.

"Sensei, how would I know when I am deserving of the honor of being one of the Warlord's chosen?"

"The song of the sand / must be mastered, my student / before you can feast."
* Each of the sensei's lines are spoken as if they were series of (bad) haikus.

OOC: Sorry, I didn't realize we were waiting on Brian.:blush:

Brian falls back a bit on his heels, sighing in relief.

"Well, that went better than I'd have expected," he whispers. Gesturing toward the wall, he asks, "Shall we?"
