Rumble looked around for half a moment. "Guess its empty."

Ooc: Rolled a 10.

Kitsune appears directly beside Rumble then with a little twirl and shower of colored motes of light.

"Not QUITE. Observe!"

A beam of light appears from her hand, illuminating the concealed doorway in the wall. Meanwhile, the real Kitsune, still perched invisibly on the wall, coaxes the key out of the ground and into her hand with her telekinesis, trusting the distraction of the light to keep that bit of sleight of hand hidden.

"A path!"

"Good eyes!" Rumble said to Kitsune. The Mistress of Illusion was unsure if he was being ironic or not. He began down the tunnel.

The door opens into a large elevator room that would have easily fit the Spider Robot's huge metal body. In fact the entire team could fit within the room. Inside there appeared to be no control or buttons. The elevator car itself was made of solid polished stainless steel.

"Where'd they run off to?" The Princess says. "Shadow, should we check out the camp?"

 

[Shayuri]

"Just a second, lets get the others in on this."

The Kitsune image launched herself straight upward to hover in midair over the opening of the pit.

"Hey guys, come on down! We found a seeeeeeeecret."

Then, as the real Kitsune finished climbing down to the bottom herself, the illusory doppelganger plummeted back down and cautiously probed forward through the doorway.

Silver Streak zips over to where he heard Kitsune call from.

When the heroes gather around the elevator (assuming they don't go in) Silver Streak can 'sense' there is electrical power in the area and running downward below the car itself.

GM: Sorry I missed the Shadow's question about. You have been on the island for less then hour. As you don't know what time zone you are in (you have a guess) you are not sure what time it is. Its still hours from daylight. The mad Doctor gave you no time limit to get to his base to face him/

"It's obviously a trap," The Princess says in her sing-songy whine. "We know the Doctor is watching us. We know he controls the elevator. There aren't even any controls inside it. How do we know the thing doesn't fill with some kind of knockout gas as soon as the doors close? Or maybe the doors close as soon as one of us enters, separating us to more easily defeat us."

OOC: I don't expect The Princess' level headed reasoning to be follows because she's talking like a teenager. (And not being listened to is one of her complications. )
