Charlarn of Phyrah: Male human cleric 3

Tenebrynn wakes in a daze, "Whoa that was some hit, my head is still ringing." Checking his wounds, they are stil sore, but closed. "Thanks for saving my hide again you two. So whats the status?"

After hearing of the retreat, "Well I suppose if we must, we must. It's a shame after slaying so many that we are forced to run, but I am in no condition to continue today." Then looking around, "Where's Irene and J?"

(Somac) then looks down at the crimson stains that besmirch the front of his leathers, and a dawning realization spreads through him. He looks up at those around him with gratitude for his life in his eyes and a simple "Thank you" on his lips.

In response to Tenebrynn and Nurlan the barbarian continues, "Yes, I think running away is the thing to do now, before we are killed or scattered."
"You're both welcome. The fishmen are swarming up the beach. Most of us are here behind the hut. And Ashnar and Irene went after Jezibel. My knots didn't hold her." Charlarn looks sheepish. "Before we get moving out of here, you both need more healing. You can barely walk." He looks at Nurlan. "Shall we?" The cleric reads from his scroll again on Somac (reads cure light wounds from his scroll, 1 spell left; heals 1d8+1)

"Our fight has been valiant, but a force this small cannot stand for long against the army that aproaches. A retreat is simply wise. Does everyone feel strong enough to move out?"

Tor will delay his retreat slightly, allowing the others to go before him so that he may assist any who fall. Of course, this will put him at some additional risk, but he is willing to accept that.

Rinaldo di Senzio, hp: 1/23

"I'm strong enough to run, and I would be glad to be just out of here. You're all ready to take a run..." Rinaldo quickly looks again at the fishmen. "It's now I miss the trick of my cousin. She would have fooled them as she loves to fool everyone, and she would have escaped without the fear of being shot... Wait a second!" Rinaldo push his hat on his head and think for a moment to a fishman. It takes only an instant to become a fishman himself. "Hehe, that may confuse them a bit, and may just be enough to buy a few seconds, but they will be welcome."

OOC: With the disguise I change the appearance of the pick for one of the weapon the fishman use.

After receiving more healing, Tenebrynn says, "Thanks again Nurlan. Right then I think I saw the horses down near the entrance to the cove. There are more behind the far hut too. We should make a break for it if we can. Rinaldo that disguise is entirely too creapy."

Sorry for mangling Charlarn's name since time immemorial. Please feel free to correct me when I make mistakes. Nurlan's heal on himself, then, cures 9, bringing him to 12.

Round 35. Somac is cured again by Charlarn's scroll, for 7. Somac, after spitting out the sand and blood filling his mouth, realizes he's unarmed. His greatsword and glaive must have fallen beside him on the beach and been left by his hurried companions. Nurlan uses the wand again to get Tenebrynn in shape to fly, (bringing him to 7 - correct me if you want to do something else, Orsal) Rinaldo assumes the form of fishman. Tor, anxiously awaiting the party's next action, suddenly thinks he hears the sound of movement around the west side of the hut. Rinaldo had checked the East side last round, only.

Ashnar sleeps soundly beside Charlarn's horse. Jezibel and Irene gallop away.

Did anyone else have a horse? The party can see three horses tied up to trees to the west, between 15 and 30 feet away.

"Something coming from that way." Tor says, readying his chain. "And beyond it, some horses."

Still a bit winded from the fight, Tor realizes it would be best to mount up if possible.

Edit: To clarify, Tor doesn't have a horse of his own, but on the theory that the three nearby horses belong to some of the nearby villains, he's willing to steal one. If the horses belong to members of the party, he'll have to trust to his feet. The fatigue should wear off soon, I hope.

Assuming nobody asks for more healing, Nurlan will cast Expeditious Retreat on someone. If nobody suggests otherwise, his first beneficiary will be Charlarn, intending (if combat does not overwhelm him) to cast again on himself the following round. If others argue for a different priority, he'll cast on someone else instead of Charlarn. Note: Nurlan and Charlarn both have 20' speed due to medium encumbrance. With the spell, it's 50' for the next 10 rounds.

In reply to Tor's warning of someone approaching: "If it's goblins, let the fishmen fight them while we escape."

OOC: When a barbarian is fatigued due to rage, is he slower? I don't have any books near me. If so, cast retreat on one of them. Otherwise, Charlarn will take it. While it's in effect, someone else can ride his horse.

Somac: Male Human Barbarian 2

Somac gives a quick word of thanks to Charlarn for the healing (ooc: he now has 7 hp, right?). He then grabs his his bow and leans around the corner of the hut to fire at any enemy he may see there.
