Somac: Male Human Barbarian 1

Somac stretches in his new armor. He feels light as a feather. With his glaive in his hands, he is ready to face whatever is down the dark narrow staircase.

"I'm willing to take whatever position is required of me, but like Tor, I cannot see in the dark. I need both hands for my weapons, but if no one can carry a torch, I have a sunrod. Perhaps if someone has a leather strap I could tie it to my arm or find some similar solution."



OOC: Manzanita, I added the glaive and armor to my character sheet. A couple of items of particular note. First, my speed will now be 40'. Second, the glaive is a reach weapon, so my threatened squares will be different. Great game so far. Now for the undead in the basement!

"Ah, good Somac. I have a sunrod I can carry in my shield hand. I'll need to be near the front so that you and Tor may benefit."

"I can carry a torch or sunrod in my shield hand too, as my shield is pretty light. I suggest that I go first. If that moathouse is just like my cousin's Warehouse, it is dangerous just to walk in. I am used to be aware of my environnement, and my cousin teach me how to find some traps they could have set for stangers like us.

But if I go first, I would like to see Tor or Somac behind me, I would feel more confortable if we find some goblins."

"If Rinaldo will take the lead, Somac can use the Glaive to protect him from right behind. I'll take the next spot, then Charlarn, Ashnar, Tenebryne and Nurlan. Fair enough?"

"Sounds like a plan. Lead on Rinaldo." Tenebrynn says before looking down at his wound again as they prepare to descend into the dark. "Charlarn might you have received any more benedictions this past night? I think the wound has opened again." Just before those at the front open the door, Tenebrynn grabs out his scroll of mage armor and casts it on himself.

[ooc: I think Tenebrynn is the only one injured at something like 7/15 hps]

Ashnar nods. "That sounds sensible. I am ready in a bit."
Then he casts his mage armor on himself.

Nurlan goes along with the plan.

I should note, for the record, that when we were raiding the armory, he picked up 20 more crossbow bolts. He now has 30; the character sheet has been revised.

"Oh, of course, Tenebrynn. I was preoccupied with Irene that I forgot to check on you. Let me take a look. Hold still for a second." He casts cure light wounds in place of detect undead on Tenebrynn.

"Be careful, Rinaldo. If the dwarf is right, there is plenty to fear down here. I'll keep my eyes peeled and do my best to protect you."
