M2: The Search for Goblin HQ

Nurlan, Ashnar, Tenebryn, Irene and Charlyn can act.

Oh... I thought my post above (begin inspiring courage, draw longspear) was Nurlan's action for that round. If he had gotten all that done before combat started, then attack the sahuagin, from a position behind the frontline fighters using the longspear's reach, while continuing to sing of dead goblins.

Charlarn of Phyrah: Male human cleric 3

Charlarn says, "Give up, Jezibel. You have to fight all of us to get out. I guess there's no back way out, otherwise you would have taken it." He tries to hit her with the handle end of his morningstar (Atk -1?, Dmg 1d8+1 subdual)

"You shouldn't have betrayed me Jez. Now you gotta pay the price." Irene says in a grim voice. She then launches an assault with her dagger on Jezibel.

 

[Vigwyn the Unruly]

Somac: Male Human Barbarian 2

Somac holds his ground and waves his greatsword in front of him, lest the traitorous Jezibel get any idea of fleeing past him.



OOC: Somac will ready an attack for subdual damage should Jezibel attempt to move by him.

say Rinaldo, starting to have a short breath from all this action. He tries to feint before attacking the next fishman.

Round 18

Sorry Orsal, I seem to have missed your action post. Let's assume Nurlan did begin singing again (great to be 2nd level!), and can now attack from behind the others with his reach weapon. On another note, Jezibel was attempting to tumble past Charlyn, not overrun him. I have a son named Drew as well (actual name Andrew), age 3. Nice choice Vigwyn. Congrats again.

Round 17 (con't) A pale green ray flashes out from Ashnar's finger, striking the Sahaugin engaging Rinaldo in the chest. (6 pts str drain) Nurlan begins his victory song.

Irene and Charlyn strike at Jezibel. The nimble rogue has managed to put her back against the boulder and avoid flanking on these blows, but both still connect. Irene just grazers her arm, though Charlyn smacks her square on the head, eliciting a yelp of pain. (10 pts total)

Round 18
Jezibel screams. "Stop! I gives up! Just don't let them Sahaugins get me!" She remains in a defensive posture, short sword in hand.

Somac cannot reach the combat as it stands. If Tenebryn moved up to the ledge, though, Somac could gain access to Jezibel.

At the mouth of the cave, Rinaldo feints and runs the weakened sahaugin through. Tor also slams his chain into his opponent, ripping off scales and producing copious black blood. Nurlan can't score a hit between the others, but his song again inspires. The last sahaugin moves up to Rinaldo, over his dead companion and stabs with his trident, missing. Tor's opponent does connect, striking a viscious blow to the fatigued barbarian (9 pts)

Those inside the cave can still act.

Nurlan continues the song as he stabs the sahuagin with his longspear.

Tenebrynn tries to squeeze in to get a Jezibel, until she gives up. Then he says, "I'll leave this to you, I should check on the others." and moves past Charlarn towards the doorway.

[ooc:I'm not sure I understand where she is in relation to us. All of the above assumes that Tenebrynn cant attack her and would not move through her threat zone to get out to the cave mouth.]

Charlarn lowers his weapon. (Ready action to strike Jezibel if she swings her sword.) "Drop your weapon. You're coming back to Monemvassia with us. It doesn't matter if you're awake or not."
