D&D 5E Mage hand uses

Ashrym

Legend
I am relatively new to the game, and was wondering, could my character use mage hand to wield a two handed weapon with only one of hiss hands? (The mage hand compensating for the other?)

I'm actually tempted to say yes with the caveat that the character needs a min 13 STR to pull it off and attacking that way would treat all the attacks as if the character had a 1 STR because of the sever limitations the hand has in that department.

I can make allowances for creativity in face of necessity but manipulating weapons for fighting is clearly outside the scope of mage hand. It would be extremely limiting and circumstantial at best, and more likely to be cosmetic.

RAW, I would say "the hand cannot attack" rules that use out, along with using it to make a weapon attack with a weapon weighing less than 10 lb.

The text also says "you use your action to control the hand" which indicates that if you are controlling the hand you cannot use your action to do something else, like attack.
