Magic Bows, Magic Arrows.. Question

First Post
No doubt an old question but well, any quick answers would be most appreciated.

How exactly do the magics of a bow and arrow stack in terms of hitting, damage and DR? Does a +2 bow allow standard arrows to penetrate DR 10 / +2, or does the bow simply grant +2 to the attack roll and damage of the player (the shot is magical, but the ammunition is not, and therefore does not penetrate DR)?

I took the stance the other day that standard arrows shot from a magic bow do not bypass DR, but was called upon it and could only site "Enworld Boards." Could anyone point me a) Towards the correct answer, and b) towards the proof (text supporting either argument)?

Ta much.

OK, I don't have the books in front of me, but I will edit this if I find out different once I check.

Bows & Arrows stack thusly: the pluses to hit, for damage, but not for DR. ONLY the bonus on the arrow (bolt, or whatever) counts v. DR. So, a +2 Longbow shooting a +1 arrow gets +3 to hit & +3 damage, but is only a +1 for pentrating DR.

I believe the relevant text is in the DMG.

Magic bows & arrows stack attack and damage bonuses.
Only magic arrows count towards bypassing DR.
See DMG p. 183 (last paragraph).
