Magic Immunity only works through spells that can be resisted with SR. Hence no a golem can't walk through a wall of force and no it doesn't stay on it's feet without a saving throw at all when it enters the area of a reverse gravity spell.

Sorry Draconion but I'd like to quickly throw in a question of myself.

What will happen when a wizard uses "shapechange" (the level 9 wizard spell) to change into a golem with magic immunity (magic immunity is an ex. ability and will be granted to the wizard).

Will the wizard:
1. lose shapechange and all other spells on himself and instantly change back to his original form. (shapechange has SR and gets resisted)
2. he will keep all spells on him, but other spells cast on him will get resisted (shapechange was cast before the magic immunity was granted, no SR is normally checked for spells already in effect).

Let me clarify my first answer =o)

Magic immunity is treated as if the creature has unbeatable SR in regards to all spells targeted against it that fall under the magic immunity. Since this is the case you then resort to following the rules of SR which state as you said in 2, that SR only gets checked when the creature is targeted by a spell, and not when said creature say walks into the effect of a spell.

If the creature is under the effects of a spell before the magic immunity is granted then those spells continue to function without regards to SR. Just as how if a character was charmed and then got SR the SR doesn't all of a sudden apply automagically to the charm effect.

Where can I find the description of Magic Immunity acting as unbeatable SR?

You can reference the spell - Spell Immunity

From the SRD:
Spell Immunity

Abjuration
Level: Clr 4, Protection 4, Strength 4
Components: V, S, DF
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: Touch
Target: Creature touched
Duration: 10 minutes/level
Saving Throw: Will negates (harmless)
Spell Resistance: Yes (harmless)

The warded creature is immune to the effects of one specified spell for every four levels the character has . The spells must be of 4th level or lower. The warded creature effectively has unbeatable SR regarding the specified spell or spells. Naturally, that spell immunity doesn’t protect a creature from spells for which SR doesn’t apply. Spell immunity protects against spells, spell-like effects of magic items, and innate spell-like abilities of creatures. It does not protect against supernatural or extraordinary abilities, such as breath weapons or gaze attacks. Only a particular spell can be protected against, not a certain domain or school of spells or a group of spells that are similar in effect.

A creature can have only one spell immunity spell in effect on it at a time.

Bold Italics in the above point out the referenced passage.
