Also, an unofficial rule is that bonuses to stats should almost always be even numbers, because otherwise different people will get different effective bonuses from them (since it's the modifier that matters in 95% or more of cases). So you should probably make the item either +4 or +6, not +5.

It's "negatively" stated, in that the rules very strongly imply that slot affinity only affects Wondrous Items:

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, hadn't thought of it like that.

Makes me say "[bleh]... Slot Affinity" even more. :p
