One of the WOTC modules introduced Goggles of Day, which protect the eyes of light-sensitive creatures.
A vampire wearing the goggles is not disoriented or reduced to partial actions if exposed to daylight. (However, he is still destroyed if he doesn't get out of the light within one full round.)
