Now, be fair. If Magic of Eberron covered all the magic of Eberron, what would WotC publish next month?Nightfall said:While the book is well done, I do think the authors missed the point in covering merely psionics and arcane arts. I mean magic is both DIVINE and arcane. A book about the magic of Eberron, IMHO, should have more than just the arcane and psionic traditions of some of Eberron.

I haven't read it.
That is to say, I haven't sat down and read the thing from cover to cover. I've merely browsed its rules, liked what I saw, used a feat or a magic item or a monster or whatever. I'll probably read the whole thing sooner or later, but it's not too high on my priorities for now. And as a toolbox, it's great. I'm just not too sure how I'll enjoy it as a book.
Demiurge out.
Hm, I disagree.Nightfall said:Pants,
I have Races of Eberron, Sharn, Explorer's Guide and Five Nations. I can honestly say compared to the rest of them it's a pretty weak/half hearted effort in my mind. That said, it's not to say it's a BAD book. Just I felt there was a lot of room for improvement.
For some reason, I expected MoE to give more coverage to the arcane side (not necessarilt the psionics, but whatever, psionics deserves it).Magic of Faerun IS over-rated but at least when you read it you KNEW it covered divine magics pretty darn decently. This one didn't even give it the time of day!
Yeah, what happened to those guys? I wanted to see if they could be made into a Perdido Street Station-esque bio-thaumaturge. It probably wasn't properly edited and tested, so they'll probably stick it into another Eberron book - like the Player's Guide.mhacdebhandia said:I wish the blood magus base class mentioned in the Dragon Magazine "preview" had been in there.
