Magic: the Gathering - Duels of the Planeswalkers

Hi, I recently downloaded and have been playing this game, and I was wondering if any other ENWorlders are familiar with it. It's not a bad interface and experience for the price, although there are issues that could be improved upon.

Anyway, for like $10 or so it's a reasonable deal, but limited decks and deck options make it seem repetitive eventually (which isn't really that different from the RL game, if you don't do a lot of deckbuilding). I've been enjoying it, but the online element seems to involve a lot of people quitting games when it's obvious they're going to lose...kind of ok too, since that just means more time to play another hand. :)

Anyone have any experiences with/thoughts about this title?

Recently replaying it as well, though I am a little stuck in the singleplayer campaign.

There are quite a number of viable decks you can build, especially since you can abuse all the power cards. Check out decks like "The deck", "Rack-balance", "titania-balance", "kird-ape channel-ball" and "BG land-D".

On the 4e front, sligh, white weenie, BW control, ernam-geddon and prison.

Mostly for nostalgia. :p

Yep, it has lots of room for improvements, that's for sure. But it's one of those games that's great for killing a few minutes here and there without getting too involved (like I am with Dragon Age: Origins lately!!).

Runestar, I'm not sure what you're referring to with the deckbuilding stuff...Duels doesn't allow deckbuilding per se, just a bit of control of 15-20 cards that you can unlock by using the deck to defeat opponents. Once those cards are unlocked that's it for that deck, although you can switch those unlocked cards in and out...are you referring to the MtG:Online game?
