Magical Ammunition, building a quiver o' tricks (on a budget)

What are some types of magical ammunition, like Sleep Arrow from SRD? I'm looking to equip my low-level ranger/scout build, and I was thinking about having a quiver o' tricks. I was thinking a couple of adamantine broadheads and a sleep arrow, but does anyone have any other suggestions?

In addition, it seems like bows convey their flaming nature on arrows, so no more flaming arrows like in 2e. How does one calculate the gp value on a single magic arrow?

Quite simply, a handful each of arrows with different properties.

+2 arrows are 161gp each, take several with different Bane properties (Specifically Abberations, Undead and Magebane. Add in Construct and/or Evil Outsider if those are common in your game). Toss in a few Ghost Touch arrows.

If you've got MIC, take it up a notch and get some Explosive arrows. Perhaps some Dispelling arrows for buffed-up foes.

Make sure to take a couple cold iron and a couple alchemical silver arrows.
Seconded.

As soon as you're able, take about 12 of each: Silver, Cold Iron, Adamantine. My elven cleric even did this, and made some kills easy with these.

A couple of cold iron arrows? Arrows are cheap! All of your otherwise normal arrows should be cold iron.
Agreed. My cheap recommendations are: 4 ghost touch arrows, 12 silver arrows, 8 adamantine arrows, and bunches of cold iron arrows. Also since constructs and undead have terrible Fort save, a single Undead Slaying Arrow and/or (adamantine) Construct Slaying Arrow can be handy.

My expensive recommendations are:
1) +1 holy, seeking, evil outsider bane, distance bow with greater magic weapon +5 cast on it
2) Silver, anarchic, lawful outsider bane arrow (for devils)
3) Cold iron axiomatic, chaotic outsider bane arrows (for demons)
4) ghost touch, undead bane arrows (most incorporeal enemies are undead)
5) One Adamantine, construct slaying arrow (golems have low fort. saves)
6) One Undead slaying arrow (undead have low fort. saves)
7) Brilliant Energy, human bane arrows (humans always wear armor)
8) Frost, dragon bane arrows (for the ubiquitous red dragons)
9) Flaming, giant bane arrows (for trolls and frost giants)
10) Merciful, human bane arrows (for taking prisoners)
11) Cast the Flame Arrow spell on the 50 arrows you intend to use during an adventure.

Brilliant is just such an awful enhancement.

You're far better off with four elemental enhancements.

Or two energy properties and Wounding.

+1 Arrow : 47gp
+2 (or equiv) Arrow: 167gp
+3 (or equiv) Arrow: 367gp
+4 (or equiv) Arrow: 647gp
+5 (or equiv) Arrow: 1,007gp
