Magical Insane Asylum

Every read the Hawk & Fisher novels, there is one where they have to enter a prison and go to the wizard and gods area.

I would make it have a number of pocket dimensions, using Manual of the Planes, designing them with rules to hold a diffenert type of wizard. You could use standard cells for the lower power guys but the really powerful would be in the pocket dimensions.

If your really want to contain spellcasters, set up the assylum like so:

Psions run the place, or maybe some Illithid secretly run the place and experiment on the spell casters...Maybe Githyanki?

Built upon a magical dead zone to prevent daring magical escapes and rescues.
 

DOH!

I forgot about that module, yeah it's great. The map needs to be redone and lose the town portion of the adventure, but it's otherwise pretty cool. Nevermind my previous post.

Here is a free online module which is set in an Insane Asylum, it is pretty good and can easily be modified and use. At least, the maps should help.
