Kenny the monk. I gave Kenny a cursed ring of true resurrection: if killed, the wearer reappears the next morning as if true resurrection had been cast; the wearer is immediately killed by any random effect in combat (weapon fumble, missed ranged attack); ring can be removed only by means of a limited wish, wish, or miracle).

This is good stuff.

And then, to tie in the He-Man sword mentioned before, shoot a beam of energy that transforms him into a dire tiger equipped with a military saddle and leather barding.

In the Myconid thread I posted about a dungeon I played through that featured Myconids that could only be destroyed by bouncing on the top of their heads (twice)

this also featured a pair of magic hammers (that cast earthquakew when struck against the ground) and were the only weapon that could damage the shell of the giant tortle BBEG

(and yeah their was a Cartoon at one point too:))

or

an episode of Shalin Showdown had a mime who enclosed the heroes in an invisible box made from imagination - I thought this could be a call ability for a Mime Prc (perhap using Walls of Force)

I recently killed a Badass Half-Demon who had a very cool cloak. It functions as a Bag of Holding of sorts. Simply by tucking an object into his cloak, it became suspended in a extra-dimentional space. He pulled potions, swords, magic explosives, all kinda of things out of it. I got my hands on it, and I'm now carryng around 6 broken Adamantine locks, 8 books, a mirror, and a roast duck in it.

Hammerspace anyone?

The Saturday morning show Xiao Lin Showdown has all sorts of items that the characters quest for, such as the Two Ton Tunic and the Third Arm Sash. This last one is great, as it effectively acts as an extra arm for the wearer.

The Jackie Chan Adventures talismans were great fodder for ideas, too.

We once ran a Skills and Powers campaign where THE MOST dreaded organization was a guild of assassin-mimes. All it took was one visit from them after a PC shoved a mime down while he was performing in the street to strike unending fear in their hearts.

Back in tha day, we faced off against Bugs and Elmer in a psychotic dungeon; our wizard hit Elmer with a cone of cold. Since he was a cartoon character, he didn't die, but was just frozen in a block of ice, and we took his Spear and Magic Helmet. I forget what the Spear did, but one of my PCs got the Magic Helmet, which turned out to be a Helm of Brilliance.

I'd like to see the various items from Jackie Chan Adventures made into D&D magic items, particularly the Twelve Talismans.
