Hello, I have a question about the "Tripped while standing up" situation.

I think the Sage's ruling might be better balance wise,
but doesn't it contradict, say "AOOed while casting spell" ?

Is "AOO vs Standing up" an exception, or "AOO vs Spellcasting" ?
What I would like to know is, does usual AOO occur before, or during
the "action that provoke AOO" ?

To an extent, yes.

The spellcasting example suggests 'during'.
