First Post
My current character, a blighter, is pissing off other party members due to his 5 charisma and his 9 intelligence . He is loud and obnoxious and butcheres everybody we save before we get the reward.
so my dm is letting me make a new character

I want to make a warrior but not the regular STR or DEX warrior, I want to make a WIS or CHA based warrior for the WIS based warrior i am thinking sword sage/psychic warrior and for the CHA-based warrior bard/hexblade. but i decided to ask you guys :P

I can use any Wotc published 3.5 books
Say the books where you found any classes or feats please

oh, also by "warrior" I mean guy who does massive damage at an extemely short range while having a high ac, not specifically martial

Wis-based: Start as a Ninja for the ability to go invisible and Wis to AC. Progress as a druid, which also uses high Wis for spells, and can wildshape into powerful animals (check with your DM about which version of wildshape he/she uses.) Add a touch of Shiba Protector to add Wis to all your melee attacks and damage.

Cha-based warrior: Paladin will do nicely, as Cha adds to your healing, your saves, and your smite attacks; possibly throw in crusader levels if you want to not rely on full attacks, or sorcerer levels if you want to be able to cast spells. If you go for sorcerer levels, remember to do something so you can cast in armor; I recommend Knight Phantom or some other prestige class (Crusader/Sorc with Jade Phoenix Mage is okay too.) I'm sure you can do something silly and get Cha to everything if you add some other obscure classes, but there's no real need: spellcasting is all the versatility you could possibly want, and Cha to saves is the big prize here.

I almost always use all books; google the class names if you want to figure out which book each is from. Shiba should be from OA; Crusader and JPM are from ToB: Bo9S, and Ninja is from C. Adv. Knight phantom is here at the official WOTC website.

WIS-based "Warrior": A warrior-cleric or Psychic Warrior would be most optimal, followed by Monk, Ninja, Sohei or Shaman (both of the last from Oriental Adventures, esp. w/Dragon #317 3.5 OA rules update).

Regardless of how you go, a single level in Shiba Protector (OA) would give you a Wis-based Att and Dmg bonus.

(Check the Monk Database in my sig for more monkish options, if that appeals)

CHA-based "Warrior": Paladin is the obvious choice, followed by Marshall, Battle Sorcerer (UA), Battle Dancer (DCv1), WarMage (CompArc) and Wilder.

I personally like a BttleSorc or Marshal/BttlSorc multiclass here, esp. if your DM rules that a BttlSorc qualifies for Sorc only feats.

I'm currently running a Human PHB Sorc who wears Scale Armor and Shield while wielding a Maul. His 1st level feats were Draconic Heritage and Dragon Breath (lightning), and his familiar is a Toad, giving him AC 21, 10HP, a nasty weapon and a 2d6/spell level linear area effect BW from channeling spells that doesn't incur ASF.

If he were a BttlSorc- which was not an option in the campaign- he'd be downright nasty.

One of my personal favorite PrCls for lawful warriors is the Kensai. A few levels gets you not only the inherent weapon improvement but also a +8Str bonus that stacks with just about everything.

Another fun PrCl is the Kineticist- The Mind's Eye: Variant Pyrokineticist Prestige Class (v.3.5) - by 3rd level, you get a weapon that you can't lose, a bonus to your unarmed attacks and a bolt of energy you can fire like a Warlock's blast. One more level and you get a bonus to your weapon attacks.

Battle Sorc is indeed the way to go if you want to take any appreciable number of levels. Otherwise just take your level or two of regular sorc and get the heck into PrCs ASAP. It depends on how much you emphasize casting and how much you emphasize fighting.

A regular Sorc 2/Pal 4 can go into Spellsword for a dip, then AbChamp for 5 levels and then into Phantom Knight, thereby sidestepping the whole ugly ASF issue. If your DM is not fond of you hopping between 7-8 different PrCs on your way up to 20, battle sorc simplifies things greatly.

Of particular note with the Pyrokineticists is the one that has a touch attack weapon (like a fire lash.) WOTC has ruled that you can do all normal things with it, including maneuvers and power attacking. If your DM agrees, that's pretty potent!

In DCv1, there is the Ring the Golden Bell Feat that lets PCs use unarmed attacks at range- I don't have it on hand right now (my stuff is packed away while I'm doing a renovation), but it may be only for Monks.

That could be fun.

In addition, check out the Feat Zen Archery from CompWar.

As many others have said, Shiba Protector (OA) is the way to go for any "Wisdom Warrior".

edit: I've used a Battledancer 7 / Iaijutsu Master X in the past. Battledancer is a cha-monk that gets good BAB (but no Flurry). Iaijutsu Masters gain (along with rocking the Cha with Iaijutsu Focus and that 5th lvl ability that adds Cha Mod to each Iaijutsu die) some sort of bonus (I don't really remember atm) while unarmored. I think its Int to AC...? I'll look it up later.

I am thinking sword sage/favored soul but i am not sure about those spells.
I want spells that deal penalties to my enemies.

he probally will take one level of shiba Protector for the wis

Swashbuckler3, RogueX and Swordsage. Shadow Blade technique and you'll have str, dex, int and wis mods to damage plus a heap of sneak attack. Add one level cleric and get Divine Might for extra Cha to damage. ;)

I am thinking of a prestige class are there any prestige classes that give me regeneration?

what about a class that does self-resurrection?

also in the build mentioned by Darklone where does where wis damage come from?
