Making all ability scores more important

I was thinking of having both int and dex to AC and init but I like that 1/2 other stat better :)

you could also have 1/2 chr mod= starting action points (ie no +1)

make the buy/sell based of a group chr mod (5 member in a party chr mods of +1,+2.+4,+2,+1 =10) +10% sell value and -10% buy

It wouldn't make sense to make it based off the entire group, but it is at least an interesting option. Though only a 1% difference for the group per charisma mod I still think leaves it dumpable.
 

If people want to "dump" Charisma, give them skill challenges that are negotiation-based several sessions in a row and tell them that if they stand mute on their turn, it's an automatic failure. I bet they start advancing their CHA...
 

That doesn't encourage increasing charisma, it encourages taking skill training and/or skill focus. Feats are cheap, abilities are not.
 

I'm not sure if this has been covered but on page 267 of the PH it says to add your Dex Modifier to your Initiative roll. However there is no mention of Initiative under the heading of dexterity.
